VW Camper Van at Knole

Whilst I was at Knole I came across this beautifully restored VW Camper Van JRM 574N . Bill, the owner very kindly moved the van to a more attractive part of the park so I could take these shots. I have put a large number of shots on my blog for Bill.

This is the tree line we used as a backdrop for the shoot.

A few art changes

Finally a couple of mono conversions

Knole Park Deer

I visited the parkland again today, this is a place that my wife and I love to come to at least a couple of times a year. This is our first winter visit, and the deer are all in their winter coats.

IWM Duxford

Working with the Fuji X-T1

This is a full size model of a Spitfire, normally used as a gate guard. It was parked out on the apron.

Fairey Swordfish Torpedo biplane. Famous for causing the sinking of the Bismarck in WWII also nicknamed "Stringbag"

Duxford's Vulcan V Bomber being refurbished.

1969 the film The Battle of Britain was released, Duxford was used to film the action scenes. One of Duxford’s WW1 hangers was blown up in the making of the film, this was long before CGI. The remaining hangers on the site now have a preservation order on them. My shot of the hanger doors is from a similar hanger still on the site to the one blown up in the film.

An article regarding this hanger can be found here.

A very good article on the making of the film can be found here.

This is my shot of these famous WW1 hanger doors.
